North Canterbury Infomation Technology

About Us

North Canterbury Information Technology was started in 2007 by Matthew Richardson after he left a job at a secondary school, part of which was to provide IT support to primary schools in North Canterbury. Not wanting to leave the schools without the support they were used to, Matthew decided to form a company which could continue to assist the schools and community in the delivery of their ICT curriculum. North Canterbury Information Techology was formed.

Matthew originally worked as a service department manager in an education-based Apple reseller, providing technical support and network consultancy for many large and small education institues in Canterbury. Matthew then moved on to work as the ICT Manager for a local secondary school. There he maintained the school's extensive network and was responsible for day to day maintenance of staff and student machines alike.

Having worked on both the corporate and educational sides of ICT Matthew believes he is in the perfect position to assist his educational customers to get the best out of their ICT and ensure the next generation is equipped to deal with the technology of today or tomorrow.

Today NCIT is still working strongly with its original customers, and has picked up some new ones along the way, including expanding services out to home users.
